Recently,the 30-day continuous reliability operation test of the Shatrabig Phase III seawater desalination project of Shandong Power Construction Third Company, a subsidiary of Power China, was successfully completed at one time, marking the world's largest single reverse osmosis The installation, commissioning, and trial operation of the seawater desalination project were successfully completed, and the project officially entered the commercial operation stage.
The reliability test started at 10 am on November 7th and was divided into three phases, each of which lasted for 10 days. Under the witness of the owner ACWA and the major owner SWPC, the performance reliability of each system of the project was tested with 80 percent and 100 percent load in multiple operation modes.
The trial operation team formed by the multi-party consortium of the project continuously monitored tens of thousands of test data. Finally, the 30-day reliability test was successfully completed at one time, 25 days in advance of the contract milestone point, and all test indicators and parameters exceeded the contract standards. Excellent performance data has created a new benchmark for seawater reverse osmosis desalination projects in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East market.
It is reported that the third phase of seawater desalination in Shatrabigh is the largest monomer reverse osmosis seawater desalination project in Saudi Arabia, and it is also the first large-scale seawater desalination project undertaken by a Chinese company overseas.
The project adopts seawater reverse osmosis technology (SWRO) and has a daily water output of 600,000 cubic meters. After completion, it will undertake the important task of supplying water to Mecca and Jeddah. It is an important local livelihood project in Saudi Arabia.
